# What happens if an operation does not reach the target amount?

For any collection, a **minimum validation threshold** is determined with the operator. It is generally **75% of the amount of the fundraising**. If this threshold is exceeded, the operation is validated and continues even if the target amount has not been reached.

If the validation threshold is not reached, **the operation may be cancelled and investors reimbursed** for their participation.
